Oranges!

Oranges are the saviors these days. They in collaboration with nibupani fulfill my hydration needs in the current heat at Delhi.
So there sat a bag full of oranges on the table. And i picked one(two) of them.

Watercolour! :) recently i am studying in this medium a lot. This is one of the patient attempts(i usually go crazy with watercolour, which is fun but i want to explore the technical possibilities in the medium).
I have painted it in my sketchbook made of cartridge paper. I have come to not like the cartridge surface for water-based mediums. There is unnecessary staining going on and because it is a low gsm paper it buckles up. However Bockingford paper is expensive for sketching purpose. Handmade paper is a good option too but using masking fluid with it is a trouble.
There is some help available at Handprint.com regarding papers. see yoo later! :)
