After drawing about several thousands of leaves at Smokehouse Deli walls (Khan Market and Hauz Khas) I remember saying to Kriti how tired I am of drawing leaves now. But that's not true, I can't and won't stop drawing plants and trees. Its a great invisible joy to be in their company at work/home and being surrounded by nature lovers and plant keepers/farmers in family and friends. Here is one from last Saturday at my Nani's.

I have been working with Kriti Monga, super-fantastic graphic designer/illustrator and a wonderful person (and amazing letterer!) who runs Turmeric Design where I am about to complete an year after ending college last year. I hope tiny bits of her energy and enthusiasm rub off on me. I have learned a lot in the past year, got to work on many great projects and met/worked with some very nice people.

The sketchbook in which I painting this in was handbound (and blockprinted cover) by Fab, my chief influence/best friend/collaborator/maker of awesome functional things of beauty, back in 2011 for my birthday. It's gorgeous, from surface to binding to paper and print.

I must admit I have drawn rather little in it, reserving it for occasions when something takes over my senses completely, though it travels in my bag in a protective box just so the occasion strikes.
